Promoting cancer research and focusing it on areas important for treatment are our most vital aims. We support this aim by promoting cooperation between clinical treatment and translational researchers. This page contains information on research groups performing basic research and on clinicians performing cancer research, so both could find each other more easily.

At the University of Helsinki, cancer research takes place at the Research Programs Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, among other units. The Department of Oncology at the University of Helsinki is the largest oncological teaching and research institution in Finland.
